Coined the “best conference ever” by media industry constituents, NAMIC’s (National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications) 22nd annual conference appropriately titled, Diversity: Pipeline to Innovation held last month at the New York Marriot Marquis is one for the record books. With nearly 850 media professionals in attendance (including myself) and more than 100 speakers, this leading trade association which advocates for diversity in the communications industry couldn’t have selected a better topic and theme, especially as our nation thrusts race and gender center stage in the wave of this historic election.
