After many months of speculation, the most influential, powerful and iconic woman in television and entertainment announced that Season 25 will be the last for her infamous talk show.

Oprah is slated to start her own 24 hour cable network in partnership with the Discover Channel in 2011. The aptly titled OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) will replace the Discover Channel and Oprah will have complete control.
