New book helps mend the breakup blues
By Roz Jackson
First, you’ve got Beyonce calling out to all the "single ladies," and then, according to Ne-Yo, there’s something especially sexy about a woman who doesn’t need a man “cuz she got her own.” It seems as if the days of "going down ‘cuz [he] ain’t around," as Mary J. once bellowed, are now long gone.
Author Kerika Fields couldn’t agree more. Bouncing back from a break-up is now made easier than ever with the help of her new book. In “He’s Gone …You’re Back: The Right Way to Get over Mr. Wrong,” Fields offers insight and advice to recovering victims of heartbreak.
Recounting her own experiences, Fields encourages readers to “move forward with their lives in positive and productive ways,” with special attention on the mind, body and soul. "He’s Gone" doesn't consist of just words on paper-- the book also features interactive lessons for the recovering sister. Equipped with a Daily Self-Love Checklist, a “He’s Gone…You’re Back!” Playlist, and Recipes for Recovery, sisters will surely heal from the hurts and pains of broken relationships. If read, and executed carefully, readers will discover what it means to be mentally, physically and spiritually in tune … and single.
